MovieMakers: Comedy

What makes us laugh?

In this workshop, students will explore that question and learn about methods like physical comedy, parody, and character work and how filmmaking can push humor to new heights. Students will work together to write, direct, and edit their own comedy short film. 

Through a process of writing jokes, improvising on set, and crafting the timing in the edit, students will work to get big laughs when their movie screens. This class is great for the student who loves to perform and tell funny stories.
