Youth Film Festival
The Youth Film Festival is a wonderful celebration of our community, our students, and great filmmaking. The 23rd Annual YFF will be held on September 13, 2024.
YFF is our most important fundraiser, providing 20% of our programming budget.
VIP ticket sales and sponsorships ensure we can keep providing an exceptional and unique filmmaking education to the Charlottesville community.
In 2023, your support helped us:
Partner with 58 amazing local schools, community organizations, and nonprofits
Create opportunities for students to share their unique voice, producing 353 beautiful films
Teach 1,258 students from 80 schools in 85 workshops
Offer scholarships allowing 63% of our students to attend at low or no cost
Engage 21 Teaching Artists
Celebrate a total of 47 film festival acceptances, with 24 unique student films being shown at 38 different festivals, and 13 awards
