Film Noir
For rising 6th to 8th grade students!
Explore the dark side of filmmaking!
Do you like twisty mysteries, private eyes, and femme fatales? Want to make a movie with a striking visual style? Got a killer Bogart impression, or can you do Daniel Craig’s accent from Knives Out? Film Noir is the workshop for you!
In this debut workshop, students in this workshop will learn the fundamentals of screenwriting, directing, cinematography, and editing while getting a little history lesson about classic films from the 1940s, 50s, and beyond. This class also features a special session on film lighting to recreate that classic noir look!
If your student wants to be a detective or a shady villain, loves fedoras and trench coats, or just has a taste for the macabre, this is the perfect place for them this summer!
