Comedy Filmmaking

For rising 6th to 8th grade students!

What makes us laugh?

In this workshop, students will explore that question and learn about physical comedy, parody, character work, and how to use the camera to make an audience roll on the floor. Students will work together to write, direct, and edit their own comedy short film.

By riffing in the writer’s room, improvising on set, and crafting the timing in the edit, students will get big laughs when their movie screens. This class is great for a student who wants to flex their performance and storytelling muscles.
