I. want to submit my music, how do I do that?

Light House Studio is in frequent need of new music for the films created in our workshops and summer camps. Many of our films go on to film festivals around the country – your music could go there with them! If you are a musician and want your music to be heard, then we would love to hear from you!

Send us an email at: programs@lighthousestudio.org with a downloadable recording of your music, the title and the piece’s length, and we will add it to our database. All music must be royalty free.

2. How can I hire a Light House Freelancer?

Light House Freelancers are advanced high school and college filmmakers at Light House who work with clients to complete film projects. The program allows students to gain film work experience while creating material for local organizations and businesses that they can add to their portfolio.

3. How can I become a Freelancer for Light House?

This position is open to High School and College students with advanced video production experience. Light House Productions offers video services to local nonprofits and businesses. With guidance from a Mentor, Light House Freelancers will take on professional video jobs, produce original content for a client, develop technical knowledge and build a portfolio. Projects and schedules will vary depending on the client.

How does it work?
Once selected as a Light House Freelancer, you will receive announcements for upcoming projects. Those available will be assigned to a project.

Beyond the experience and connections, are there additional benefits?
When the project is complete you will receive a copy of the final film for your portfolio, invitation to event screening (if applicable), and a stipend (based on project scope) or community service hours.

Can I apply anytime?
Yes! We will review applications on a rolling basis to fill all Freelancer slots. Once all slots are full we will keep your application on file for 12 months and notify you if a space opens. If you are not selected, you are welcome to apply again after 12 months.
